The annual audit of Hong Kong companies refers to the annual qualification examination of Hong Kong companies conducted by the relevant functional departments of the Hong Kong government. Company secretary
a)the company must appoint a company secretary or "trust or company service licensee"

d)if the shareholders and directors are not the same person, one of them may be appointed secretary of the company
e)if the sole director is the same person, a third party shall be appointed as secretary of the company

Register of important controllers
Starting from 1 March 2018, companies incorporated in Hong Kong must:
a)take reasonable steps to identify key controllers of other companies
b)to give notice to and obtain information required by an important controller
c)keep records on the register of important controllers and keep them up to date
d)keep a register of important controllers at the registered office of the company or elsewhere in Hong Kong
e)allow law enforcement officers to inspect the register of important controllers
Failure to fulfil the duty to keep the register of important controllers is a criminal offence.The company and each of its responsible persons may each be subject to a fine at level 4 (i.e. Hk $25,000).If applicable, an additional daily fine of hk $700.

Starting from 1 March 2018, companies incorporated in Hong Kong must:
a) to designate at least one person as the "designated representative" of the company to provide relevant assistance to law enforcement officers on the register of important controllers of the company.
b)to appoint any of the following persons as the "designated representative" of the company:
1)the shareholder, director or employee must be a natural person residing in Hong Kong, or
2)Hong Kong licensed accounting professionals, Hong Kong licensed legal professionals or "trust or company service licensees".
